AVAA National Committees Driving Projects & Policy
.

The work of the Auctioneers and Valuers Association of Australia (AVAA) is shaped by its members, who generously volunteer their time to serve on national committees. Their insights and expertise ensure that AVAA’s project and advocacy priority directly reflects the realities of auctioneering and valuation practice across the nation.

Through these committees, members establish and refine professional standards, developing benchmarks that define excellence across the sector. This collaborative approach ensures consistency, quality, and trust in the services delivered by AVAA Certified Practising Auctioneers and AVAA Certified Practising Valuers.  The also help to frame events such as the AVC26 Conference.

Members also direct AVAA’s policy advocacy, identifying issues that matter most and guiding our engagement with government and stakeholders. Their input ensures AVAA speaks with authority on industry challenges, opportunities, and reforms that impact the profession.

This member-driven foundation gives confidence to clients, the business community, and government alike. It demonstrates that AVAA is the authentic voice of the sector, that we’re professional, credible, and grounded in the real experience of its practising members.

If you have any questions concerning the work of these committees, contact the AVAA team via email at national.office@avaa.com.au or telephone 1300 928 165.  You can also stay up to date with the work of the committees by following AVAA on LinkedIn, X/Twitter and Facebook.
